“Who’s gonna carry the flag, Chris?”
One morning at the fire station, a buddy asked Chris if he was doing the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Life was busy. He wasn’t planning on going.
His buddy’s response stayed with him.
“Some of these new guys weren’t even born when 9/11 happened. They don’t even know that 343 firefighters gave their lives that day.”
Carry The Flag was born from that question—and the responsibility to remember, to show up, and to set an example.

He looked me dead in the eye and asked who was going to carry the flag for the next generation.
